NVZ consultation maps available from the Environment Agency
Under the nitrates directive, NVZs must be reviewed at least every 4 years. The proposed boundaries for the Defra 2011 consultation, which if sucessful will be designated NVZs from 2013 are now availbe from the Environment Agency. You can view them here. The maps show new NVZs and those that would be removed, and also enables you to see the reason for designation in any area. It is not intended to be wholly accurate as some minor aspects of the analysis are still being completed, and a new data set will be incorporated, when it becomes available.
Firm proposal for NVZ boundaries are expected to be published in early 2012 showing which pieces of land would fall within an NVZ.
